GREELEY — Services for Beatrice Theresa Gilner, 89, Garnett, were Friday at St. John's Catholic Church, Greeley. Burial was in St. John's Cemetery, Greeley.
Mrs. Gilner died Monday, Jan. 8, 2001, at Shawnee Mission Medical Center, Merriam.
She was born Sept. 10, 1911, in Greeley, the daughter of Frank and Elizabeth (Wolken) Lickteig. She moved to Garnett in 1995.
Mrs. Gilner had worked as a dealer for Stanley Home Products since 1954. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Church, Altar Society, third order of the Carmelites, Pottawatomie Grange and Daughters of Isabel. She also was a past chaplain of Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary.
She married James Presley Gilner Jr. He died Jan. 11, 1994.
Survivors include five sons, Frank Gilner, New Hampton, N.Y.; Bob Gilner, Overland Park; Bernie Gilner, Paola; Andrew Thomas Gilner, Tonganoxie; and, Jimmie Gilner, Harrisburg, Pa.; four daughters, Betty Wellman, Meriden; Carolyn O'Dell, Greeley; Mary "Kakie" Honn, LaCygne; and, Terry Jasper, Bush City; four brothers, Dominic Lickteig, Defiance, Iowa; the Rev. Bernard Lickteig, Scipio; Francis Lickteig, Shawnee; and, the Rev. Fergus Lickteig, Leavenworth; a sister, Betty Gellhaus, Greeley; 35 grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and 12 stepgreat-grandchildren.
