Colony Services for Pearl (Powell) Wedeman, 90, Colony, will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Farris-Feuerborn Memorial Chapel, Colony. Burial will follow at Geneva Cemetery, Geneva.

Mrs. Wedeman died Friday, Jan. 5, 2001, at Anderson County Hospital, Garnett.

She was born Aug. 9, 1910, in Carlyle, the daughter of Edward H. Powell and Ethel F. (Hyde) Powell.

She graduated from Colony High School and was a resident of Colony for more than 50 years.

She was a homemaker.

She married Leslie Albert Wedeman May 26, 1931, in Lone Elm. He preceded her in death.

Survivors include four sons, Floyd Wedeman, Yakima, Wash., Wilbur Wedeman, Overland Park, Wendell Wedeman, Garnett, and Kenneth Wedeman, Lawrence; a daughter, Eileen Callaway, San Diego, Calif.; a brother, Cecil Powell, Colony; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Friends may call after noon Monday at the funeral home in Colony, where the family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday.

The family suggests memorials to the Colony Senior Citizens, the Colony United Methodist Church, or Colony E.H.U., in care of Farris-Feuerborn Memorial Chapels, 219 S. Oak, Garnett 66032.
