Services for Helen M. Mullenix, 88, Lawrence, will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Warren-McElwain Mortuary. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Mullenix died Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2001, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
She was born Jan. 20, 1913, in Claflin, the daughter of Joe and Amelia (Galliart) Blazek. She graduated from State Center Grade School.
Mrs. Mullenix moved in 1971 to Lawrence from Great Bend.
She was a homemaker and later worked for the Kansas University food service for nine years. She retired in 1980.
She was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary Post No. 8668, Claflin, and was a 60-year member of Claflin United Methodist Church.
She married Marvin Mullenix on July 26, 1931. He preceded her in death.
Survivors include a son, Douglas K. Mullenix, McLouth; a daughter, Marlene Ebeling, Lawrence; a brother, Harold Blazek, Claflin; six grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and four stepgreat-grandchildren.
The family will greet friends from noon until service time Friday at the mortuary.
The family suggests memorials to Claflin United Methodist Church or the charity of the donor's choice, sent in care of the mortuary.
