Marie and Marvin Trybom, Lawrence, will celebrate their 55th wedding anniversary with a family dinner.
They were married Feb. 14, 1946, at St. Mary's Church in Clifton.
Marvin served with the 94th Signal Battalion in Europe during World War II. He retired in 1982 as executive lieutenant of security police at Sunflower Army Ammunition Plant in DeSoto. He raises cattle and grows hay.
Marie worked at the Sunflower plant during World War II. She is a homemaker and an active church member.
The couple have two sons, Gene Trybom and Robert Trybom, both of Lawrence; four daughters, Judy Hauschild and Angela Trybom, both of Lawrence; Linda Bollig, Baldwin; and Nancy Chute, Casa Grande, Ariz; 13 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and four stepgreat-grandchildren.
