The Air Medal was awarded to Captain Charles E.E. Remboldt, Perry, for meritorious achievement while participating in sustained aerial flight as a KC-135E pilot in the 117th Air Refueling Squadron at Forbes Field in Topeka.

Remboldt displayed the highest degree of airmanship and courage during air refueling missions under hazardous conditions in support of Operation Allied Force, Operation Joint Guard, Operation Northern Watch and Operation Deny Flight.

Air Force Airman Neil Hockenbarger has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio.

During six weeks of training, Hockenbarger studied the Air Force mission, organization and customs, and received special training in human relations.

He is the son of Joan and Dean Hockenbarger, McLouth.
