St. Louis — Kansas University's women's basketball team made just one free throw, and the Jayhawks fell to Saint Louis, 73-61, on Saturday at SLU.
The Billikens converted 11 of 15 free-throw attempts, while KU was a season-worst 1-for-6 (16.7 percent).
Angie Lewis led SLU with 18 points and nine rebounds.
Amie Van Deurzen and Greta Bujaker added 14 points apiece for the Billikens (6-4), who led 35-22 at halftime on 15-of-32 shooting while holding KU 36-percent shooting.
Blair Waltz led the Jayhawks (4-7) with a career-best 15 points. Nikki White added 13 points and nine rebounds.
The Jayhawks played without center Kristin Geoffroy, who went home to Los Alamitos, Calif., because of a family emergency.
