Topeka Services for Richard L. Pease, 63, Topeka, will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Parker-Price Chapel, Topeka. Burial with full military honors provided by a Fort Riley detail will be in Grantville Cemetery, Grantville.
Mr. Pease died Thursday, Dec. 6, 2001, at his daughter's home in Lecompton.
He was born Jan. 25, 1938, in Winchester, the son of Harry E. and Una Lucille (Davis) Pease. He was a 1956 graduate of Winchester High School. He has lived in the Topeka area most of his life.
Mr. Pease entered the U.S. Navy in 1958 and served until 1964. He was an over-the-road driver. He worked for Coast to Coast Recruiters from 1982 to 2000.
He married Lea Darlene Barbero on Jan. 1, 1960, in Tijuana, Mexico. She died June 17, 1999.
Survivors include a friend, Ginny Trueblood, Topeka; two daughters, Lana Keever, Lecompton, and Brande McCree, Lawrence; a sister, Patti Porteous, Topeka; and six grandchildren.
Friends may call after 3 p.m. Tuesday at the mortuary, where the family will receive them from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday.
