Robert C. Murrow

— Services for Robert C. Murrow, 69, Rose Hill, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Smith Mortuary, Derby. Burial will be in Mulvane Cemetery.

Mr. Murrow died Thursday, Dec. 6, 2001, at Via Christi - St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, Wichita.

He was born March 11, 1932, in Alva, Okla., the son of Cleo Clifford and Thelma Beatrice (Cole) Murrow.

Mr. Murrow served with the U.S. Navy from 1951 to 1955. He worked for 13 years for Boeing Aircraft in Wichita and for 22 years as an aircraft mechanic for Raytheon in Wichita. He retired in 1991.

He married Patricia LaBern Sylvester on Oct. 10, 1952, in New Orleans. She survives of the home.

Other survivors include two sons, Robert Jr., Wichita, and Mike, Loveland, Colo.; two daughters, Connie Woydziak, Lawrence, and Bonnie Toombs, Augusta; two brothers, Gary, Haysville, and Bill, Augusta; and eight grandchildren.

Friends may call from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the mortuary.

The family suggests memorials to St. James School, 30 Cliff Drive, Augusta 67010.
