Realtor enjoys working outside of office

December 7, 2001

Name: Carrie Sinks.

Residence: Lawrence.

Age: 30.

Job title: Realtor.

Company: Lawrence Realty Associates, 4321 W. Sixth St.

Length of employment: 15 months.

Job responsibilities: Matching property buyers with sellers, "and then trying to hold the deal together," she said.

Favorite part of my job: "Working with people from all backgrounds; receiving referrals from satisfied clients," Sinks said.

Most difficult part of my job: "It's frustrating when a deal can't be pulled together, or when I lose out on a listing," she said.

Family: Married to Larry Sinks. They have a son, Michael, 5; and a daughter, Alexandra, 2.

Interests outside of work: Family, traveling, charity work, dancing and "working in my yard," she said.

Advice to live by: "Never give up," Sinks said. "Work at it until you get it right."

Something you may be surprised to learn about me: "I was a legal assistant for 10 years," Sinks said. "I became a Realtor because I don't like sitting in an office at a desk. I like being out and interacting with people."
