KU Baseball Clinics: Kansas University baseball will conduct a mini-camp for high schoolers on Dec. 27-29 at Anschutz Pavilion. Staff will include pro, college and high school coaches and players. Other clinics are scheduled on Jan. 12, 19 and 26. For information, call 864-7907.

Top Guns Tryouts: Open tryouts for the Topeka Top Guns of the National Indoor Football League will start at 5 p.m. on Dec. 15 at Sport 2 Sport, 5200 Clinton Parkway. Registration fee is $40. For information, call 785 273-6500.

Lucas, Revely Place: Lawrence's Irone Revely and Isaac Lucas placed 10th and 34th, respectively, in the U-10 division of the AAU National Cross Country Championship in Orlando, Fla.

Heitzman Wins: Paul Heitzman of Eudora won the ages 70-74 division of the Jingle Bell 5K on Saturday in Tulsa in a time of 20:10.

Flames Seventh Champs: Sport 2 Sport Flames seventh grade girls basketball team won the Bonner Springs Swoosh tournament last weekend. Team members are Kristen Karlin, Emily Renfro, Cally Gray, Kelsey Harrison, Jenica Wessels, Lauren Kimball, Katelyn Hobbs, Samantha von Ende, Allie Hock and Sarah Craft.

Softball Clinics Change: Kansas University's advanced softball hitting and pitching clinics have been shifted from Feb. 2 to Jan. 27. The clinics are open to girls ages 10 through 18 and will be at Anschutz Pavilion. For a complete list of KU softball clinics, call 864-7964.

LGA Placers: Shereen Fattaahi of Lawrence Gymnastics Academy finished fifth in the ages 9-11 Level Four all-around at the LGA Judges Cup meet last weekend. In the same group, Rachel Rasmussen was seventh, Mariah Anstaett eighth, Paige Ziegler 11th and Katlyn Green 12th. Aly Frydman was 10th in the ages 6-8 category.

Kellison, West 1-2: Kara Kellison and Mallory West of Lawrence Gymastics Academy finished 1-2 respectively in the Level 8 all-around at the LGA Judges Cup meet last weekend. Also, Jillian Hay was fifth and Ashley Sakumura sixth as LGA won the team title. At Level Seven, LGA competitors were Meredith West and Kathy Heflin.

Futures Net Champ: Charlie Moffet of Lawrence won the Missouri Valley Futures Tennis Tournament boys 12 division in Overland Park. Michael Swank of Lawrence was the consolation winner. Abby Olson, Sara Olson and Sydney Lartique, all from Lawrence, won matches in the girls 16 division. All of them train at Alvamar Racquet Club.

Classic U-12 Champs: A Lawrence team coached by Pat Lindeman won the Kaw Valley Soccer Association U-12 Classic League championship with a 6-2-1 record. Team members were Kevin Brady, Karl Buche, Bora Buyuktimkin, Kyle Ernesti, Dar Fornelli, Louis Hamil, Alex Hardman, Stephen Mason, Michael Mathews, Alexa Moreno, Sarah Rucker, Grahm Saunders, Mathew Shipley, Rafferty Thompson, Nicholas Vetter and Jordon Williams.
