He was born April 22, 1923, in Sabetha, the son of James and Jennie (Mize) Glenn.
He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in World War II.
Mr. Glenn was the former owner and manager of the Travelodge, Lawrence, from 1975 until 1988, when he retired. Previously, he had been the store manager at Rusty's IGA Hillcrest from 1958 to 1975.
He was a member of First Presbyterian Church.
He married Marjorie Kauffman on Aug. 9, 1942, in Topeka. She survives of the home.
Other survivors include a daughter, Julie Glenn, Cincinnati; a son, Richard, Heidelberg, Germany; a sister, Rovena Smith, Topeka; six grandchildren; two step-grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
The family suggest memorials to First Presbyterian Church Habitat for Humanity Project, sent in care of the mortuary.
