— Asjha Jones scored 19 points and Diana Taurasi had a career-high 12 assists to lead top-ranked Connecticut to a 103-69 victory over Ball State on Friday night.

Despite the final score, the Huskies (7-0) encountered their stiffest test of the young season from the Cardinals (3-2), who led for nearly half of the first half. UConn has trailed for just 29 seconds in its first six games. Tamara Bowie led Ball State with 17 points.

Milwaukee Chantelle Anderson made her first 12 shots on the way to scoring 35 points to lead Vanderbilt (8-1) past UW-Milwaukee (3-3).

Albuquerque, N.M. Jordan Adams overcame early foul trouble to score 21 points to lead New Mexico.

No. 12 Baylor 74,

Oral Roberts 46

Tulsa, Okla. Danielle Crockrum had 25 points and 16 rebounds as Baylor (6-0) ended Oral Roberts' 15-game home winning streak.

No. 20 Wisconsin 92, Pittsburgh 75

Tucson, Ariz. Tamara Moore had 21 points and eight assists as Wisconsin (4-1) beat Pittsburgh in the first round of the Arizona Basketball Classic.

No. 22 George Washington 59, Maine 47

Houston Cathy Joens scored 23 points as George Washington (2-2) beat Maine (2-3) in the first round of the Gene Hackerman Rice Invitational.

No. 25 South Carolina 75, Duquesne 61

Columbia, S.C. Teresa Geter scored 20 points and grabbed 12 rebounds as South Carolina (5-1) beat Duquesne (2-3).
