Criminal cases against two Kansas University football players were continued again Friday, one in Lawrence Municipal Court and one in Douglas County District Court.

Quarterback Mario Kinsey, through his attorney, Sherri Loveland, told District Court Judge Jack Murphy that Kinsey had applied to enter a diversion program and is awaiting the results of that application. Murphy ordered him to return to court at 1:30 p.m. Dec. 17.

Kinsey, along with running back Reggie Duncan, is charged with the theft last summer of a KU student's purse. Duncan also has applied to enter a diversion program and is awaiting the outcome. He, too, returns to court at 1:30 p.m. Dec. 17.

Kinsey also is charged with two counts of unlawful use of a credit card belonging to the student. Duncan is charged with one count of unlawful credit card use.

In addition, Duncan was scheduled Friday for a hearing in Municipal Court on the prosecutor's motion to revoke a diversion program in which he is currently participating. He was charged last year with misdemeanor theft. A new hearing was set for 8 a.m. Jan. 17.
