Baskin-Shelton

Robert and Carolyn Shelton, Lawrence, announce the engagement of their son, Michael Jeffery Shelton, Bolivar, Mo., to Holly Noel Baskin, Lebanon, Mo., daughter of Doug and Sharon Baskin, Holiday Island, Ark.

The future bride is the granddaughter of Bob and Pat Baskin, Springdale, Ark., and the late Ben and Zelda Lawson.

The future groom is the grandson of Murray and Jerry Voss, Bartlesville, Okla., and the late Clarence and Catherine Shelton.

The future bride is a graduate of Shiloh Christian School, Springdale, Ark. She graduated in May 2001 from Southwest Baptist University, Bolivar, Mo., with a bachelor's degree in education. She is an elementary school teacher and high school cross country and track coach for Conway, Mo., public schools.

The future groom is a graduate of Free State High School. He plans to graduate from Southwest Baptist University in December 2001 with a bachelor's degree in psychology.

The couple plan a Dec. 15 wedding at Kanakuk Neighborhood Chapel near Branson, Mo.

Basow-Myers

Robert and Lynn Basow, Lawrence, and Janet Myers, Lawrence, announce the engagement of their children, Ann Basow and Logan Myers, both of Lawrence.

The future bride is a graduate of Lawrence High School and Kansas University, where she earned a degree in social welfare in May 2001.

The future groom is a graduate of Olathe North High School. He recently left the military.

The couple plan a Dec. 29 wedding at Danforth Chapel on the Kansas University campus.

Brandenburg-Hanni

Eric and Joan Brandenberg, Shawnee, announce the engagement of their daughter, Lauren Elizabeth Brandenburg, Shawnee, to Brian James Hanni, Topeka.

The future bride is a graduate of Shawnee Mission Northwest High School. She attends Kansas University where she is studying journalism.

The future groom is the son of James and Nancy Hanni, Topeka.

He is a Topeka West High School graduate. He attends KU, where he is pursuing a broadcast journalism degree.

The couple plan a December 2001 wedding at Lenexa Baptist Church.

Terry and Annie Dunavin, Eudora, and Terry Brown, Princeton, Mo., announce the engagement of their daughter, Keri Nichole Brown, to Jeffery Michael Moreno, both of Eudora.

The future bride is the granddaughter of Fred and Clarice Holt, Harris, Mo., J.R. and Joy Brown, Princeton, Mo., and Ruth Dunavin, Eudora.

She graduated from Eudora High School and is employed at Broers Flower Shop and Dairy Queen, both in Eudora.

The future groom is the son of Richard and Vicky Moreno, Eudora, and the grandson of Richard and Barbara Phillips, Colorado City, Colo., and Larry and Anne Wagner, Tonganoxie.

He is a graduate of Eudora High School and is employed at Progress Vanguard, Lawrence.

The couple plan a Dec. 8 wedding at First Southern Baptist Church in Eudora.

Gelvin-Brown

Natalie Gelvin and Bryan Brown, both of Denver, announce their engagement.

The future bride is the daughter of John and Beckie Edens and Ed and Nancy Gelvin, all of Wray, Colo.

She graduated in 1999 from Wray High School and received an associate's degree in applied science in 2001 from Aims Community College, Greeley, Colo. She is a medical assistant at Centennial Medical Center, Denver.

The future groom is the son of Steve and Melody Granzow, Lawrence, and Virl and Camilla Brown, Granby, Colo.

He is a 1991 Lawrence High School graduate. He attended Kansas University and is employed by Excel Motorcycle, Denver.

The couple plan a Jan. 26, 2002, wedding at United Methodist Church in Wray.

Jeanie Brown, Lawrence, and Bob Brown, Overland Park, announce the engagement of their daughter, Barclay Brown, to Dean Hagen, both of Shawnee.

The future bride is a graduate of Lawrence High School. She is pursuing a bachelor's degree at Baker University. She is a sales representative at Sprint PCS.

The future groom is the son of Glenn Hagen, Shawnee, and Charlotte Brantley, Henderson, Nev.

He is a graduate of Kapaun Mount Carmel, Wichita. He received a bachelor's degree in business administration from Wichita State University. He is a sales representative for United States Smokeless Tobacco Brands Inc.

The couple plan a Dec. 31 wedding in Kansas City.
