Funeral Mass for Charlotte M. Gilliam, 29, Lawrence, will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Holy Family Catholic Church, Alma. Burial will be in Catholic Cemetery, Alma.
Mrs. Gilliam died Wednesday, Aug. 22, 2001, at Kansas University Medical Center, Kansas City, Kan.
She was born May 6, 1972, in Topeka. She graduated from Sandlewood High School in Jacksonville, Fla., and had lived in Alma, Tampa, Tex., Columbia, S.C., and Jacksonville, Fla.
Mrs. Gilliam was northeast poster child for March of Dimes from 1973 to 1974 and state poster child from 1974 to 1975.
Survivors include her husband, Eric Gilliam, of the home; her father, Jack Schmidt, DeSoto; her mother, Linda Pinkham, Eudora; three sisters, Nancy Wolff, Manoment, Mass., Casie Williams, Eudora, and Katie Schmidt, DeSoto; two brothers, Jack Schmidt Jr., Stanley, and Dan Smith, DeSoto; and her grandparents, Robert L. "Bochie" and Helen Schmidt, Alma, Millie Andersen, Pleasanton, and Rosella Mallory, Eudora.
Friends may call from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at the church.
Cedar Crest Memorial Chapel, DeSoto, is in charge of arrangements.
