Services for Nancy K. Stubbs, 63, Lawrence, will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
Mrs. Stubbs died Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2001, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
She was born Sept. 8, 1937, in Charleroi, Pa., the daughter of Charles and Iva Myers. She graduated from high school in Monongahela, Pa., in 1955, and graduated from nursing school in Pittsburgh.
Mrs. Stubbs then enlisted in Air Force Nurses Corps for three years. She moved to Lawrence in 1979 from Perry.
She worked as a nurse at Lawrence Memorial Hospital, Stormont-Vail Regional Health Center and Colmery-O'Neil Veterans Hospital, both of Topeka. She retired from Lawrence Presbyterian Manor in June 2000.
Mrs. Stubbs was a member of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
She married William Roscoe Stubbs Nov. 6, 1965, in San Antonio. He died Jan. 13, 1978.
Survivors include two sons, Garrett and John C. Stubbs, both of Lawrence; a daughter, Rebecca Stubbs, Lawrence; a brother, Charles Myers, Kansas City, Mo.; two sisters, Susan Penner, San Francisco, and Linda Hall, Lexington, Va.; and three grandchildren.
Friends may call from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. today at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home, where the family will greet them from 9:30 a.m. to service time Saturday at the church.
