aDonald Courtois has joined the U.S. Army under the delayed entry program. He will report to Fort Benning in Columbus, Ga., for basic training. He is the son of Donald and Patricia Courtois, Lawrence.



Army Pvt. Christopher Buckner recently graduated from the ground surveillance systems operator course at Fort Huachuca in Sierra Vista, Ariz.

The course provided training on procedures to deploy radar and other devices designed to detect and report enemy ground activities. Buckner is the son of Richard Buckner, Tonganoxie.



Brent Trouslot was promoted Aug. 1 to the rank of major in the U.S. Marine Corps.

Maj. Trouslot is stationed at Naval Air Station Lemoore, where he serves as an F/A 18 strike fighter pilot instructor.

He is a Kansas University graduate and the son of Paul and Barbara Trouslot, Lawrence.
