Law enforcement report

Burglaries and thefts reported

Police are investigating the theft of a green, 1996 Ford F-250 truck from a residence in the 1500 block of Kentucky. The truck, owned by Bowersock Mills & Power Co., was at the home of a 52-year-old Lawrence man employed by the company, and was taken between 1:30 a.m. and 4:45 a.m. Saturday.

An Amana refrigerator valued at $500, a black microwave valued at $100 and seven other items valued at $2,140 were taken from a residence in the 700 block of Alabama. The theft occurred between 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. Aug. 1. The victim is a 75-year-old Lawrence woman who lives in the 900 block of East 1400 Road.

Two guns and two other items were taken from a 70-year-old man who lives in the 200 block of Perry Street. The burglary, which occurred on July 11 or 12, was reported Aug. 1. Stolen were a .410 gauge Montgomery Ward shotgun valued at $400, a .22 caliber Remington rifle valued at $100 and two other items valued at $589.

Condition reports

Jacqueline Stineman, the 33-year-old Lawrence woman injured June 23 in a one-vehicle accident on U.S. Highway 56, 5 miles west of Baldwin, was listed in fair condition Saturday night at Kansas University Medical Center in Kansas City, Kan.
