Harrison-Bedient

Kimberly Ann Harrison and Shawn Michael Bedient, both of Lawrence, were married Aug. 14, 2000, at Jim Brothers' Art Studio in Lawrence, with Jim Brothers officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Richard Harrison, Loudon, Tenn., and Sandra Harrison, Lawrence. The groom is the son of Howard Bedient, Wichita, and Pamela Mattson, Lawrence.

The bride is a graduate of Immaculata High School, Leavenworth. She attended Kansas University, where she majored in geography. She is a freelance poet and novelist.

The groom graduated from Topeka West High School in 1988. He attended Kansas University, where he was enrolled in the environmental studies program. He is a freelance musician, poet, author and artist.

The couple reside in Lawrence.

Johnson-Cromer

Rebecca Daryl Johnson and Paul Joseph Cromer were married April 20, 2001, at Memorial Chapel in Fort Leavenworth, with the Revs. Bill Springston and Jim Shaunessy officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Ret. Lt. Col. Michael and Robin Johnson, Leavenworth. The groom is the son of Arthur and Rosemary Cromer, Lawrence.

The maids of honor were Amanda Johnson and Jennifer Johnson. The best man was Brendan Cromer. The groomsman was Greg Cromer.

The bride is employed with Sprint North Supply, New Century, as an interactive media/Web designer.

The groom is employed with American Real Estate & Investments in Lawrence, where he specializes in commercial development, property management, leasing and sales.

The couple reside in Lawrence.

Ryan-Newton

Jennifer Ryan, Johnson, and Bill Newton, Lawrence, were married April 28, 2001, at Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Lawrence with Father James Shaughnessy officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Tom and Pat Ryan, Johnson. The groom is the son of Bob and Pat Newton, Lawrence.

The matron of honor was Heather Zogleman. The best man was Casey Crane.

Bridesmaids were Laura DePaolis, Christy Newton and Rachel Ryan. Groomsmen were Scott Williams, Brad Frederick and David Tacha. Haley Hobbs and Claire Ryan were flower girls.

Katelyn Hobbs and Ryan Hobbs were candlelighters. Nick Rogers and Becky Rogers were wedding coordinators. Ushers were Nathan Williams, Mike Blundell, Brad Ryan and Elliot Bloom.

A reception followed the ceremony in the social hall at the church.

The bride is a graduate of Stanton County High School, Johnson. She received a bachelor's degree in speech-language-hearing and master's degree in early childhood special education from Kansas University. She is employed by B.A.B.I.E.S. Early Intervention program.

The groom is a Lawrence High School graduate. He received a bachelor's degree in communications from Kansas University. He is employed by Wake Forest University in media relations.

The couple reside in Winston-Salem, N.C.
