CLINTON (4-20) -- Water 58 degrees and 2.2 feet above normal pool. Crappie fair using jigs for fish suspended over channels and off face of dam. Some are being taken in brushpiles in Wakarusa River on minnows. White bass good with jigs over riffles in river.

PERRY (4-26) -- Water 58 degrees and 1.7 feet above normal. Channel Catfish fair using shad parts. Fish feeder will be operational June 1. Sauger fair. Spawn is over and fish have moved out of area. White bass good in breaks with a jig. Try a minnow in evenings. White crappie fair. Water murky and fish are getting closer to bank. Peak spawn still a week away.

STATE FISHING LAKES

DOUGLAS (4-20) -- Channel catfish fair on shad sides off dam and piers. Feeders are operational. Crappie fair on minnows and jigs from piers.

LEAVENWORTH (4-20) -- Crappie good on minnows and jibs from piers, dam and rock banks. Largemouth bass good on jerkbaits at 8-12 feet.

COMMUNITY LAKES

LONE STAR (4-20) -- Bluegill fair on nightcrawlers along weedbeds. Channel catfish fair on shad sides off points. Crappie fair on minnows and jigs from shore.
