BWC's Hill Winner: Dustin Hill of the Baldwin Wrestling Club had three pins and won a gold medal at the Western Stars tourney Saturday in Blue Springs, Mo. Seconds went to Sean Potter, Kevin Callahan, Adam Halford and Peru Radnaabazar. Bronze medals were won by Luke Halford and Witt Hinton. Paul Halford and Sam Coffey had fourths and Joe Brown a fifth.

Spray Bike Champ: Larry Spray of Lawrence won the masters men division of the Fat Tire racing series last weekend in Springfield, Mo. Lawrence's Jennifer Tilley and Stacey Lamer finished 2-4 in the expert women division.

Roesler Leads Field: Chad Roesler fired a 69 to win last Saturday's Jayhawk Golf Club tournament at Alvamar by five strokes over Ben Overman. John Shafer was third with a 75. In net, Lynn Goodell and Van Reichert both recorded 63s. Pat McCraney had a 68 and Mike Beaton a 69.

Visser Takes Third: Nathalie Visser of Lawrence finished third at the Natural State Grand Prix, a cycling event last weekend in Little Rock, Ark.

Gold Medal Wrestling Clinic: Baldwin High will offer the Gold Medal Wrestling Clinic on June 19-21. The clinic is for students entering grades 2-12. For information, call Kit Harris at 785 594-3481.

U-14 Girls go 2-1: Lawrence United U-14 girls soccer went 2-1 last weekend. Meghan Bock scored two goals in the three games while Rachel Berkley, Megan Johnson, Whitney Lopez and Danielle Jones scored. Kelli Hartford and Lauren Bornstein earned a shutout while alternating in goal.

Firebird Boys Camp: Free State High's Firebird Boys Basketball Camp is scheduled from June 4-8. For information, call Jack Schreiner at 832-6050.

Nus-Aldrich Win: Jeff Nus and Steve Aldrich combined for a 76 and won the Eagle Bend Men's Golf League blind scramble this week. Bill Edmonds and John Nalbandian combined for a 77 as did Dave Severn and Neal Ezell.

Sayers Benefit Tourney: The annual Gale Sayers Golf Tournament for the benefit of the Kansas University School of Education is scheduled for 1 p.m. on May 4 at Alvamar. For information, call 864 9610.
