KU elects new student president
Justin A. Mills, a Lansing junior, was elected earlier this month as the new Kansas University student body president.
Mills' running mate was Kyle Browning, an Overland Park junior, who is the vice president. They will hold the offices for the 2001-2002 academic year.
Mills is majoring in history and plans to study medicine. Browning is a political science major. They represent Delta Force, a student coalition formed in 1997. This is the first presidential win for the coalition.
Mills and Browning defeated VOICE coalition candidate Jessica Bankston, a junior from San Angelo, Tex., and her running mate, Hunter Harris, a junior from Lawrence.
