Haskell welcomes scientists, engineers

More than 75 American Indian science and engineering students from colleges throughout the Midwest will be in Lawrence this weekend for a regional conference of the American Indian Science and Engineering Society.

The conference is hosted by Haskell Indian Nations University students

AISES participants will gather Friday for a 5 p.m. banquet at Stidham Hall. Saturday sessions open with a continental breakfast at 7:30 a.m. in Sequoia Hall.

The conference ends Sunday with a daylong job fair at Tecumseh Hall.

AISES is a national organization dedicated to getting American Indian high school and college students involved in science, engineering and business studies.
