Services for Raymond C. Ford, 78, Eudora, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home. Burial will be in Eudora Cemetery.
Mr. Ford died Wednesday, April 4, 2001, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
He was born April 17, 1922, in Deepwater, Mo., the son of Bertha L. Ford. He moved to Eudora in 1977 from Tonganoxie.
Mr. Ford served in the U.S. Army Air Corps from 1942 to 1945, and worked for Hercules, DeSoto. He retired in 1984. He was a member of Family of Faith Church.
He married Margie L. (Welch) Coleman on Sept. 20, 1942, in Adrian, Mo. She died Aug. 4, 1977.
Survivors include two sons, Gene R., Kansas City, Mo., and Roger A., Lawrence; two daughters, Carol K. Smith and JoAnn Cook, both of Eudora; a brother, Harley A., Adrian, Mo.; 11 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.
A grandchild died earlier.
Friends may call from noon to 9 p.m. today and 9 a.m. to service time Saturday at the funeral home, where the family will greet friends from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. today.
The family suggests memorials to American Cancer Society or Family of Faith Church, sent in care of the funeral home.
