Chamber of Commerce hands out its top honors

The sweet music coming from the Lawrence Holidome tonight is that of the Lawrence Chamber of Commerce's annual meeting. This year's theme is "Harmony the sound of success," and one of the highlights of the event will be a performance by Tonic Sol-fa.

Festivities kick off with a social hour at 6 p.m., followed by dinner and a recognition program at 8 p.m. Reservations are no longer being accepted.

Chamber officials will take the stage to recount the past year's accomplishments and look ahead to 2001 and beyond. Board chair Jerry Stamp and chair-elect Ann Gardner will recount the chamber's many successes.

Reports will also be given about task forces and committees and Leadership Lawrence.
