Pauline Freeman

— Graveside services for Pauline Foster Freeman, 85, Emporia, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Memorial Lawn Cemetery, Emporia.

Mrs. Freeman died Sunday, April 1, 2001, at Newman Hospital, Emporia.

She was born Oct. 11, 1915, in Allen County, the daughter of F.T. "Pappy" and Luella Mae (Hopkins) Foster. She graduated from high school in Humboldt and had attended Emporia State University. She had lived and worked at J.C. Penney stores in Lawrence and Junction City before moving to Emporia 25 years ago.

Mrs. Freeman was a member of First Christian Church, P.E.O. Chapter ES and Christian Women's Fellowship, all of Emporia.

She married Dwight E. Freeman on Nov. 24, 1938, in Emporia. He survives of the home.

Other survivors include a son, Douglas Freeman, Borger, Tex.; three sisters, Lucille Koppers, Pittsburg, Glennis Wilmore, Emporia, and Jean Stacy, Leawood; a brother, Robert "Bud" Foster, Kansas City, Kan.; and a grandchild.

The family suggests memorials to P.E.O. Chapter E.S., sent in care of Carlson Funeral Home, 501 W. Sixth Ave., Emporia 66801.
