Charles Sutton

Services for Charles W. Sutton, 86, Oskaloosa, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Barnett Funeral Home, Oskaloosa. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery, Oskaloosa.

Mr. Sutton died Monday, Sept. 25, 2000, at the Hickory Pointe Care Center, Oskaloosa.

He was born May 2, 1914, in Oskaloosa, the son of Richard John and Martha Evangeline "Vange" Insley Sutton. He graduated from Oskaloosa High School in 1932 and Kansas University in 1937.

Mr. Sutton was a salesman for Burroughs Corp. from 1937 to 1942 before serving in the U.S. Army during World War II. He had been an agent for Prudential Insurance Co. for many years before retiring, and was also a Realtor for several years after his retirement for Regan Real Estate Co. in Johnson County. He was a member of the Kansas Association of Realtors, the Oskaloosa United Methodist Church and the church choir.

Survivors include a niece, Sally Sutton Higgins, Rockville, Md.

Friends may call after 10 a.m. today at the funeral home, Oskaloosa.
