WINCHESTER Graveside services for Kenneth Edward Hughes, 53, Topeka, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Winchester-Wise Cemetery, Winchester.
Mr. Hughes died Sunday, Oct. 22, 2000, in Amarillo, Tex.
He was born Dec. 28, 1946, in Nyssa, Ore., the son of Kenneth Faye and Dora Elizabeth (Vannordstrand) Hughes. He graduated from Hoyt High School in 1964.
Mr. Hughes served in the U.S. Air Force for two years, and was a truck driver for Nexus Trucking Co., Topeka, since earlier this year. He also had worked for Triangle Trucking Co., Salina, for 13 years. He also had worked at Packer Plastics, Lawrence, and for Bailey Moving and Storage Co., Topeka.
He married Lucy J. Prosser in 1967. They later divorced. He later married Elva Wolford. They later divorced.
Survivors include his mother, Dora Elizabeth Trower, Topeka; a son, Kenneth W., Topeka; three daughters, Michelle Anne Day, Danielle L. Rios, and Sandra K. Hughes, all of Topeka; and five grandchildren.
Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. today and 8 a.m. to service time Friday at the Barnett Funeral Home, Oskaloosa.
