Law enforcement report

Burglaries and thefts reported

Kansas University police reported four automobile burglaries between midnight Sunday and 1:20 p.m. Wednesday in Lot 112 near Oliver Hall. All four vehicles were broken into and property was removed. One report included damage and stereo equipment loss of $1,100.

A 21-year-old Lawrence woman reported a 1985 Oldsmobile valued at $1,500 missing Tuesday from the 200 block of West 25th Street.

Condition reports

Daniel Weber, 33, Lawrence, remained in serious condition Wednesday at St. Anthony Central Hospital in Denver, where he was flown after a one-vehicle accident Sept. 29 on Interstate 70 near Goodland.

Lawrence-Douglas County Fire & Medical reported the following responses:

Firefighters responded to a structure fire about 8 p.m. Wednesday in the 500 block of Seventh Street. A shed behind a single-family home had caught fire and was approaching the home. An extension of the home caught on fire, but it was put out immediately, as was the shed fire. Cause of the fire is under investigation. Battalion Chief Dan Morrow reported that the shed was destroyed, but Morrow had no other damage estimate.
