Did you know that some millipedes excrete toxic ooze that can damage the skin or eyes of a human who comes in contact with it? How about the fact that some locusts in Africa travel at speeds that allow them to cover 300 miles in a single night?

Well, if you watched the Discovery Channel's programming for children, you'd know both of those cool facts.

Several shows, under the umbrella Discovery Kids, air from 9 a.m. to noon Saturdays and Sundays. And just in time for Halloween, the Discovery Channel (Channel 41 on Sunflower Cablevision) will have Discovery Kids' "Creepy Crawly Weekend" on Oct. 28 and 29 featuring shows like "The Ultimate Guide: Ants" and "Twisted Tales" and "Swarm."
