Julie and Craig Miller, Lawrence, announce the birth of twin sons, Kyle David Miller and Justin Scott Miller, born on Sept. 1, 2000, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.

Kyle and Justin have two brothers: Ross, 14, and Ryan, 9. Maternal grandparents are Kenneth and Alma Daniels, Lawrence. Paternal grandparents are Lewis and Johannah Miller, Albuquerque, N.M.


The Old West Lawrence Neighborhood Assn. Applause Committee has honored five projects that are contributing to the quality and beauty of their neighborhood.

The homes that were recently recognized:

810 Ky. for complete remodel,

801 Tenn. for paint and restoration,

808 Ala. for remodeling and landscaping,

700 Miss. for sidewalk and landscaping,

745 Maine for porch restoration.

The OWL Applauses are distributed every two to three months to recognize projects large and small that enhance the aesthetics of the neighborhood.


The Ezekiel and Mary Jane Colman descendants will gather for the 22nd annual Colman family reunion. They will meet Sunday, Oct. 15, at the newly renovated Kanwaka Township Hall on west Highway 40.

A catered lunch will be served at noon, followed by a program for young and old, including a cake walk.


Sarah Paul, Lawrence, has been honored by Carleton College, Northfield, Minn., as a member of the dean's list for the 1999-2000 academic year. Paul, daughter of Lowell Paul and Sheila Reynolds, Lawrence, is a 1998 graduate of Perry-LeCcmpton High School.
