Lila Marie Lanphear

— Services for Lila Marie Lanphear, 90, McLouth, will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the McLouth First Baptist Church. Burial will follow in McLouth Cemetery.

Mrs. Lanphear died Friday, Sept. 29, 2000, at the Hickory Pointe Care Center in Oskaloosa.

She was born Dec. 22, 1909 in McLouth. She was raised by her father and stepmother, Arthur and Nellie A. Hendrickson Scott.

A homemaker, Mrs. Lanphear was a member of the McLouth First Baptist Church and a graduate of McLouth High School.

She married Clarence E. Lanphear on Aug. 3, 1935, in Lawrence. He died Feb. 17, 1985.

Survivors include a daughter, Kay Masqua, McLouth, one sister, Irene Sherry, San Antonio; a half-brother, Gene Scott, Rogers, Ark.; a half-sister, Joyce Dearing, Olathe; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

A granddaughter died earlier.

Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Monday at the Barnett Funeral Home in Oskaloosa, where the family will greet them from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Monday.

The family suggests memorials to the McLouth First Baptist Church, sent in care of the Barnett Funeral Home, 820 Liberty, Oskaloosa 66066.
