Animals can't say "cheese." So how do you get them to look at the camera or do something cute? You wait and hope. Wildlife photography takes lots of patience and lots of luck.
Some of the world's best pictures of wild animals passed across the desks of the judges of the annual BG Wildlife Photographer of the Year award. The British competition is the world's biggest, with more than 1,800 entries.
