Lawrence City Commission

November 20, 2000

Commissioners examine revitalization

Bottom Line:

Lawrence city commissioners will be asked to approve the East Lawrence Neighborhood Revitalization Plan. The plan provides the city and the neighborhood with a guide for directing resources to the area to protect and improve qualities in the neighborhood.

The East Lawrence Neighborhood Revitalization Plan was developed in conjunction with property and business owners and public agencies in the neighborhood. Development of the plan began in 1998 with the establishment of a steering committee to work with the architectural firm of Sabatini and Associates. Neighborhood meetings, workshops and surveys have been conducted.
