HINU women fall to Baker, 83-68

Tasha Gentry scored 17 points to lead Baker University's balanced offense in a 83-68 women's basketball victory over Haskell Indian Nations University on Saturday at Coffin Complex.

Triece Baker chipped in 15 for BU and Cory Shoaf and Monique Everett added 13 points apiece.

Ruby Beatty led HINU (0-2) with 20 points.

BU men lose, 4-2

Baldwin Lindenwood toppled Baker, 4-2, in the Heart of America Athletic Conference men's soccer final on Saturday. Jason Belisle and Daniel Knop scored a goal apiece for BU, which finished 12-9.

BU runners win

St. Charles, Mo. Baker University's top three runners placed 2-5-8 to help the Wildcats win the Heart of America Conference women's cross country meet with 54 points on Saturday. BU's Liesel Kirk placed second, finishing the 5,000-meter Lindenwood course in 18:57.
