Dorothy Redding Trotter

— Graveside services for Dorothy Nadine (Redding) Trotter, 83, Coffeyville, will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Fairview Cemetery, Coffeyville.

Mrs. Trotter died Friday, Nov. 3, 2000.

She was born March 24, 1917, in Olathe, the daughter of Earl and Jessie (Humbert) Redding.

Her family moved to Lawrence when she was 9 years old. She attended Quincy Grade School, Lawrence Junior High School and Mount Oread High School. She also attended Kansas University.

Mrs. Trotter was a nurse's aide at Coffeyville Memorial Hospital and later was a licensed practical nurse at Coffeyville Regional Medical Center. She also worked at Medicalodge East and Medicalodge West in Coffeyville.

Mrs. Trotter was a Cub Scout den mother, involved in the Parent-Teacher Assn., Friendship Club, Jaycee Jaynes, Club 13, AARP, Matinee Musical and Navy Mothers Post No. 20. She was also an American Red Cross instructor, a member of the hospital auxiliary, Coffeyville College choir, concert choir and orchestra, Rebekah Lodge and the Eagles Auxiliary.

She married Owen Trotter in 1935 in Olathe. He died earlier.

Survivors include three sons, Robert Trotter and Larry Trotter, both of Coffeyville; and Dennis Trotter, Lawrence; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Friends may call from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at the Graves Funeral Home, Coffeyville, where the family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday
