Services for Clark Levion Lyles, 81, Lawrence, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Warren-McElwain Mortuary. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Lyles died Saturday, Nov. 4, 2000, at a daughter's home.
He was born Aug. 10, 1919, in Sedalia, Mo., the son of Marion Gilbert and Cora Mae (Washington) Lyles.
He moved from Lawrence to Carrollton, Mo., in 1971, and had recently returned to Lawrence.
Mr. Lyles was a construction worker and operated heavy equipment.
He attended Second Christian Church in Lawrence and the Baptist church in Carrollton, Mo.
He married Georgella Marshall in 1951 in Sedalia, Mo.; they later divorced. He then married Anna Belle Bigby in 1972 in Carrollton, Mo. She died Jan. 27, 1996.
Survivors include five daughters, Arnell Walker, Marsha Lyles-Cook, Lijia Lyles and Lori Pearson, all of Lawrence, and Terri Lyles, Kansas City, Mo.; two sons, Clark, Lawrence, and Clarence, St. Francis, Wis.; four stepdaughters, Dorothy Jane Bigby, Marjorie Bigby and Betty Ann Bigby, all of Carrollton, Mo., and Isa Belle Bigby, Kansas City, Mo.; four stepsons, Donald Bigby, Chillicothe, Mo., Roy Bigby, Lee's Summit, Mo.; and Rowdy Bigby and Randy Bigby, both of Carrollton, Mo.; 17 grandchildren; 11 stepgrandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two stepgreat-grandchildren.
A son, Raymond Marshall, and a stepson, Charles Lester Bigby, died earlier.
The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Monday at the mortuary.
The family suggests memorials to Hospice Care of Douglas County, sent in care of the mortuary.
