Three Leavenworth County teen-agers were injured Wednesday night when their convertible entered a ditch and overturned.
Jess Leitsch, 16, Lansing, was taken by helicopter to Kansas University Medical Center in Kansas City, Kan., where he was in fair condition Thursday.
Shea Hart, 17, Leavenworth, and Nathan Erdmann, 16, Lansing, were both taken to St. John Hospital in Leavenworth, where they were treated and released.
The accident happened about 9:45 p.m. Wednesday.
A spokesman for the Leavenworth County Sheriff's Department said Hart was driving the 1984 Chrysler LeBaron convertible west on Kansas Highway 5 -- about two miles southeast of Lansing -- when she encountered a series of tight curves. The car left the road and overturned.
Hart and Erdmann were ejected from the car. Leitsch was partially ejected -- his arm was trapped under the car's front windshield post before he was freed and taken to the Med Center.
