Gallatin, Tenn. Bob Tillman, a catcher who played in the major leagues in the 1960s with the Boston Red Sox, New York Yankees and Atlanta Braves, has died at 63.
He died Friday of a heart attack at his home.
In nine seasons, he hit .232 with 79 home runs.
His most productive campaign was in 1964 when he hit 17 home runs with 61 runs batted in 131 games with the Boston Red Sox.
His last season was 1970.
Tillman was born in Nashville.
In recent years, he worked at a food company in Gallatin, 25 miles outside Nashville.
