Lawrence Memorial Hospital recently added two management-level employees to its staff.
Indra Osi is the new director of health information management services. She coordinates health information management services, which includes medical records, tumor registry and transcription functions.
Osi previously worked at the Menninger Clinic in Topeka, and has more than 20 years of experience in health information management. She was director of medical records for Tuscon Medical Center and St. Joseph's Hospital in Tuscon, Ariz., from 1991 to 1996.
David Sostarich is director of radiology services. He manages the staff and operations of the radiology department, which includes general diagnostic, nuclear medicine, ultrasound, mammography and other services. He coordinates radiology services performed at LMH, LMH South and Lawrence Imaging Associates.
Sostarich previously was clinical manager of radiology services at Truman Medical Center in Kansas City, Mo. He also worked for the radiology department at Kansas University Medical Center, where he served six years as supervisor. He completed the ARRT Radiologic Technologists Program at KU's College of Health Sciences in 1979.
Fastframe has entered the Lawrence market. Local franchise owner Robert LeGresley and associates Susan Ashline and Justin Kogl have opened the framing business at 4821 W. Sixth in the Westgate Shopping Center.
Fastframe helps customers preserve and frame items such as fine art, family memorabilia, college diplomas and jerseys. It also provides corporate business services, including the framing and preservation of awards, wall maps and charts.

Mary Charity is a new sales and customer service representative, having worked previously for KPL Paging as customer care manager. Gwen Davis joins the company as business manager with more than 30 years of experience in the industry, including positions at Allied Companies Inc. and International Utilities. Shelly Harsha is a new outside sales representative, after working as an account executive for Southwestern Bell Wireless.
PCI offers cellular, dual-mode and PCS phones, pagers and accessories for wireless phones. It serves northeastern Kansas.
Melinda Mitchell, director of clinical services at Lawrence Memorial Hospital, and John Neet, a rural Lawrence resident and executive vice president for research and development at IntraLuminal Therapeutics in Kansas City, Kan., have been appointed to the 2000 Board of Examiners for the Kansas Award for Excellence Foundation.
The Tecumseh-based foundation administers the Kansas Award for Excellence, which recognizes performance excellence among businesses and organizations.
As examiners, Mitchell and Neet are responsible for reviewing and evaluating applications submitted for the award. The board has more than 100 representatives selected from industries, governments and professional, trade, educational and health-care organizations.
The Kansas Award for Excellence is a state affiliate for the Malcom Baldridge National Quality Award.
Dave Relihan will join News Source 49 (KTKA-TV) in Topeka as chief meteorologist in mid-July. Relihan is chief meteorologist at WIBW-TV, Topeka's CBS affiliate. Relihan, a Kansas University graduate, is replacing longtime chief meteorologist Ed Levy. Relihan earned his seal of approval from the American Meteorological Society in 1983.
Bartlett & West Engineers Inc., a consulting engineering firm, has hired two employees at its Lawrence office, 1811 Wakarusa Drive.
Ryan Fleming is a survey technician, responsible for field equipment and materials used during survey projects. He also will conduct research on some projects. Fleming, an Ottawa High School graduate, previously worked for Homestead Land Surveying Co. as an instrument and rod person.
Craig Chaney is a project manager, responsible for maintaining client relationships and meeting client expectations. He is the former owner of Homestead Land Surveying, which served Douglas, Franklin, Anderson and Miami counties. He received his Kansas Land Surveyor license in 1991.

Commercial Federal Bank has hired Robert Lacy as a mortgage loan originator at its Lawrence office, 4114 W. Sixth. Lacy offers home mortgage products including purchase, first-time buyer, investment and refinance programs. He received his bachelor's degree from Kansas University in 1986.

Beverly Williams joined the accounting department as cost accountant and will monitor company inventory and product costs.

Janis Bunker, senior vice president and trust officer in the Lawrence office of The Trust Company of Kansas, recently was elected to a one-year term as secretary and treasurer of the Kansas Banker Assn.'s Trust Division. Bunker has served the KBA Trust Division as a board member for the past three years. The division serves member trust departments and trust companies in Kansas with member conferences, legislative updates and other support services.
Maupintour recently promoted Magda Khater, Lawrence, to product manager in the Escorted Tours department. The Lawrence resident plans and manages tour products in Africa, Europe and the United States. Khater joined the company in 1996 as an airline coordinator.
Mary Moore recently joined the Escorted Tours department as a product manager for tours in Canada and the South Pacific. The Topeka resident previously was director of membership services for the International Assn. of Industrial Accident Boards and Commissions in Lawrence.

Ottawa resident Dale Schmoe, a service provider for United Parcel Service in Ottawa, recently was honored for completing 25 years of safe driving. The Ottawa resident began working for UPS in 1971.
