Law enforcement report

Burglaries and thefts reported

A 39-year-old Lawrence man reported that his bicycle valued at $3,500 was stolen between 8:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. Friday from the 1800 block of Carmel Drive.

A 44-year-old Lawrence man reported $20 damage to an aluminum window frame that occurred during a burglary. Forty-three CDs and miscellaneous items valued at $3,035 were stolen between 10:30 p.m. and midnight Thursday from the 300 block of Pleasant Street.

Quality Tow, 1146 Haskell Ave., reported that a 375-watt, 10-inch bass woofer, two super bass speakers in a large black box, a 300-watt amplifier and miscellaneous items valued at $1,085 were stolen between 2:30 a.m. and 4 a.m. July 20.

Injury accidents

A Lawrence woman was transported by helicopter to Kansas University Medical Center after a two-vehicle accident Saturday morning on Kansas Highway 10 east of Lawrence. Michael E. Parker, 40, Lawrence, was northbound on Franklin Road in a 1993 Chrysler. According to the accident report, witnesses and evidence at the scene indicate that Parker failed to obey the stop sign at the intersection of K-10 and Franklin Road. At 7:15 a.m., Parker pulled onto K-10 and struck a 1988 Oldsmobile, driven by Deborah K. Chambers, 50, Lawrence, who was eastbound on K-10, according to the report. Parker was transported to Lawrence Memorial Hospital, where he was treated and released. Chambers was in critical condition at KU Med Center Saturday night.
