Rebels win two at World Series

— Kansas Rebels Under 12 baseball team went 2-1 at the USSSA World Series on Friday.

The Rebels fell to Quad City, Ill., 5-4, in eight innings. Travis Blankenship pitched seven innings. Lorenzo Ricketts went 3-for-4 and Nick DeBiasse 2-4. Mark Albers had a two-run triple.

The Rebels beat Odessa, Tex., 3-2. Jeremy Wright was the winner. Albers earned a save. Tyler Knight was 2-for-3 and Scott Heitshusen 2-3. Nick Ayre had a double.

The Rebels also beat St. Louis, 10-2. Ricketts was the winning pitcher. Wright, Heitshusen, Blankenship and Ayre had two hits apiece. Ayre and Heitshusen tripled. The Rebels play today against Conway, Ark. Twelve teams remain in the Series out of 80.
