Hubler-Wingerd

Dennis and Sue Hubler, Merriam, announce the engagement of their daughter, Michelle Hubler, Lawrence, to Joshua Wingerd, Lawrence.

The future bride is a graduate of Shawnee Mission North High School, and Kansas University with a bachelor's degree in business administration. She is employed with the Douglas County Visiting Nurses Assn.

The future groom is the son of Tim and Janell Wingerd, Hood River, Ore. He is a graduate of Hoodriver Valley High School. He is employed at Morse Chevrolet in Kansas City, Kan.

The couple plan an Oct. 7 wedding at Shawnee United Methodist Church in Shawnee.

Woirhaye-Reid

Robert and Micki Reid, Lawrence, announce the engagement of their son, Grady Reid, to Kim Woirhaye, both of Cincinnati.

The future bride is the daughter of Russell and Vicki Woirhaye, Stilwell. She is a graduate of Blue Valley High School and Stephens College, Columbia, Mo., with a bachelor's degree in broadcast journalism. She is a producer at WKRC TV in Cincinnati.

The future groom is a graduate of Lawrence High School and Kansas University with a bachelor's degree in film. He is a photojournalist at WKRC TV in Cincinnati.

The couple plan a Sept. 30 wedding at Stanley Presbyterian Church, Stanley.

Johnson-Heckman

Tom Johnson, New Orleans, and Barbara Dougherty, Independence, Kan., and John and Marjorie Heckman, Independence, Kan., announce the engagement of their children, Carrie Johnson and Marcus Heckman, both of Lawrence.

The future bride is a 1994 graduate of Independence High School and a 1999 graduate of Pittsburg State University with a bachelor's degree in nursing. She is a registered nurse at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.

The future groom is a 1994 graduate of Independence High School and a 2000 graduate of Friends University with a bachelor's degree in resource management. He is head boy's basketball coach, assistant athletic director and assistant dean of students at Bishop Seabury Academy High School in Lawrence.

The couple plan a Dec. 30 wedding at St. Andrew's Catholic Church in Independence, Kan.

Betzen-Anderson

Stephen and Terry Betzen, Lawrence, announce the engagement of their daughter, Eve Betzen, Lawrence, to Timothy Anderson, Parker, Colo.

The future bride is a graduate of Lawrence High School. She attends Colorado Christian University in Denver.

The future groom, son of Richard and Patricia Anderson, Parker, Colo., is a graduate of Riverview Christian Academy high school. He is an apprentice with Pagett Electric Company in Denver.

The couple plan an Aug. 6 wedding at the Grant-Humphreys Mansion in Denver.

Edgerton-Honeyman

Peggy and Jim Edgerton, Lawrence, announce the engagement of their daughter Tara Edgerton, to Michael Honeyman, both of Lawrence.

The future bride is a graduate of Lawrence Free State High School. She is employed at EFTC in Ottawa.

The future groom, son of Blair Honeyman, Overland Park, and Kathy Montgomery, Wakarusa, is a graduate of Lawrence High School and is employed by Montgomery Door Closer Service, a division of Door Controls Inc. in Topeka.

The couple plan a Sept. 23 wedding at Mustard Seed Christian Fellowship in Lawrence.
