A featured Crime Stoppers fugitive was caught this week.
Lawrence Police Officer Dave Anderson said Randy Lee Ashworth, 29, was caught Tuesday morning in Kansas City, Kan., with a car that police say had been taken two weeks earlier from a Lawrence automobile dealership.
Ashworth already was wanted for allegedly violating his probation on a 1996 felony forgery conviction in Douglas County, officials said. He was a featured Crime Stoppers fugitive in June.
Anderson, who runs the Crime Stoppers of Lawrence and Douglas County Most Wanted program, said Ashworth was in Wyandotte County Jail awaiting transfer to Douglas County.
