Cub Scout Pack 3055, chartered to the West Side Presbyterian Church, was busy doing good deeds during the month of November. The pack's Wolf den, consisting of Jordan Travis, Ian Simmons, Justin Robertson, Keenan McCauly, Walker Lindsey, Cameron Howard, Nicholas Haley, Sha Detwiler and Steven Dalager, spent several weekends doing shows and selling popcorn. They raised enough money to earn a gift card, which they used to help adopt a Salvation Army family. Their den leaders are Chris Dalager, Chip Howard and Scott Simmons.
The following boys from the pack helped clean up the school grounds at Sunset School: Sawyer Zook, Jordan Travis, Ian Simmons, Cameron Howard, Nicholas Haley, Matthew Schaich, Taylor Zook, Zach Ortiz, Ben Jarvis, Coty Janousek, Evan Taylor, Jeremiah Sharp, Will Pellett and Josh Gore.
The following Webelo Cub Scouts from Pack 3057, chartered to St. John's School, recently participated in the Pelathe District Webelos' Woods Weekend: Shawn Clark, Treavor Davies, Maxwell Gregoire, Josh Hill, Stephen May, Auston Noll, Sean Ridenour, Andrew Sidor, Tom Sidor, Gus Wigen-Toccalino and Scott Williams. The boys participated in events such as first aid, nature walk, semaphore and canoeing. The scouts built a campfire and attended a worship service.
Boy Scout Troop 52, chartered to the First Methodist Church in Lawrence, held a 7-mile hike Nov. 11 at Camp Naish. The following Scouts participated in the hike: Victor Tuttle, senior patrol leader, Evan Tedlow, Peter Tuttle, Henry Reiske, Justin Deaver, Spencer Rhines, Mason McCurdy, Will Sharp and Philip Gilreath. Scout leaders in attendance included Glen Sharp, scoutmaster, Rowley Tadlow, Charles Gilreath and Tim Rhines.
Tamegonit Lodge, of the Order of the Arrow, held lodge leadership development training Dec. 2 at Camp Naish. Attending from Pelathe District were Victor Tuttle, Troop 52, Lodge vice chief; Peter Tuttle, Troop 52, Chapter 2, vice chief; Will Sharp, Troop 52, Lodge treasurer; Herb Tuttle, Troop 52, advisor to Lodge publications committee; and Pat Flavin, Troop 55, advisor to Chapter 2.
