To the editor:
We want to extend our thanks to all the homeowners, designers, decorators, organizers, and volunteers who made the Holiday Tour of Homes in the Oread Neighborhood possible.
Our thanks also go to all the hundreds of people who toured the homes, the church, and the neighborhood. Plymouth Church, the Colonel Blood House, and the Burk bungalow, are examples of properties that have been well-maintained over the years; the other four houses showcased how hard work and imagination can transform derelict properties into inviting homes, rich with character, warmth, and beauty. We are delighted that so many people had the chance to see what preservation and renovation have added to Lawrence.
