Mildred I. Lindquist Weeks

Hoisington Services for Mildred I. Lindquist Weeks, 89, Eudora, will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home in Hoisington.

Mrs. Weeks died Friday, Dec. 8, 2000, at the Eudora Nursing Home.

She was born March 17, 1911, in Wichita, the daughter of Blaine and Maryon (Shanks) Bowers. She lived in Susank, where she served as the postmaster for 37 years and as a city clerk.

In 1976, she moved to Hoisington, then to Eudora in 1995.

She was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church and OES Una Chapter No. 119, both in Hoisington.

She married Lee O. Lindquist on Nov. 18, 1932, in Wichita. He died Nov. 30, 1966. She later married Marion B. Weeks on Nov. 26, 1976, in Hoisington. He died Jan. 25, 1991.

Survivors include three sons, Jerry L. Lindquist, Sun City West, Ariz., Jack D. Lindquist, Taylors, S.C., and Jay A. Lindquist, Lawrence; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday and from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, where the family will greet friends from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday.

The family suggests memorials to the Concordia Lutheran Church, sent in care of the Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home, 415 N. Main, Hoisington 67544.
