When the final standings of the Sunflower League girls swimming and diving meet were announced at California Trail Junior High, Pat Grzenda couldn’t have cared less that a city school didn’t finish at the top on Saturday. “We had talked about how neat it would be to have two teams in the top three and we were just about as close as you could get,” said Grzenda, head coach for Lawrence High and Free State High. “I’m really, really proud. They’ve all done a superb job.
