JUANITA SHEETS
Bonner Springs -- Services for Juanita Georgia Portwood Sheets, 68, Linwood, were held Sept. 22 at Alden-Harrington Chapel in Bonner Springs. Burial was in Mount Sidney Cemetery, Linwood.
Mrs. Sheets died Saturday, Sept. 18, 1999, at Skaggs Community Health Clinic, Branson, Mo.
She was born Sept. 22, 1930, in Kansas City, Kan. She graduated from Kansas State University.
Mrs. Sheets had been the librarian for the Linwood Community Library and a subsitute teacher.
She had been a member of the Linwood United Methodist Church and its board, chairwoman of the worship committee and sponsor of the United Methodist Youth Fellowship.
She was vice president of the Luminaries Extension Unit; past board member of the Linwood Library; a 4-H and Cub Scout leader; president of the Parent-Teacher Club; and sponsor for the Linwood High School wrestling cheerleaders.
Survivors include her husband, Dean Sheets, of the home; two sons, Monte, Linwood, and Jeffry, Chapman; two daughters, Jocelyn Sheets, Iola, and Stephanie McDonald, Richmond; a sister, Mary Reinecke, Philadelphia; 12 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
