Burglaries and thefts reported
- Members of the Pi Beta Phi sorority reported that a kitchen table 36-foot in diameter was stolen between July 10 and July 15 from the house, 1602 W. 15th St. The theft of the table, valued at $800, was reported Monday.
- A 22-year-old Lawrence man reported that a VCR, television and other items valued at a total of $6,850 were stolen between 10:30 p.m. Monday and 10:45 a.m. Tuesday from his residence in the 200 block of Illinois.

- A 28-year-old Baldwin woman reported that someone tried to rob her about 7:30 p.m. in a parking lot in the 3000 block of Iowa. The suspect was unknown to the woman, police reported.
